I was using the curling iron yesterday, and I burned the side of my neck... how on earth I did that..I don't know. I'm usually good w/ all my hair tools.
But it's all blistered, and I think I will def have a scar I'm praying that makeup will cover it the day of. This is just my luck, and has really put the icing on my cake for the week.

Will vitamin E on it help? I've been using bacitracin(sp?)
What else is good to prevent scaring?

Becatracin Vitamin E and plenty of vitamin C as well. They both work to repair tissue.

Aloe Vera works great on burns! Maybe see a Dermatologist to see what they say?

I got a bad burn on my forhead las t year from the curling iron and I religiouly put on vitamin e ( get the clear gel capsules and break them open and put it on) twice a day and I took vitamin e pills for about 2 weeks and it completely healed without a scar.

If you do this it should heal nicely and hopefully you won't have a scar.

BTW, I'm a paramedic and I got this from a recomendation from one of the head burn physicians!!!

hey twin.... I would not worry that is nothing that can't be covered with a lil makeup plus you have two and a half months for it to clear and it will.. Now stop fretting and get back to planning!!!!!!!!

I have used NONI juice and NO SCAR. You can get it from Costco or health food store. Soak a guaze pad in it and put on burn. I always keep a bottle in fridge just for that reason. Works great.

You can put Vitamin E or aloe...what's great too is Aquafor, which is what dermatologists use most of the time...

vitamin e oil - just put it on whenever you think about it, but esp when you get out of the shower. it'll help it heal faster and it shouldn't scar. in the case that it does scar, i'm sure your makeup artist will be able to cover it no problem (if you're not having a makeup artist, just get a really good coverup and you should be able to do it yourself).

If you have medical coverage-- GO TO THE DERMATOLOGIST! They will give you the best advice! Take it from someone who burned herself with hot boiling oil & doesn't have a scar to show for it!!
