I'm so upset, we aren't going to make our minimum

It's official, we won't make our minimum by 20 people!!!! Has any one ever had their hall do anything for them when this happened?

I've heard of halls throwing in some extras. Definately try for that!

I know some halls will make up the difference in additions to the menu, while others will wrap up all of those dinners for you to bring home, but other than that, I haven't heard anything . . .

Do you have people on a B or C list that you ask now? Explain that at first you couldn't invite them due to space constraints, but now you can...or in some other tactful manner...

Did you invite your single friends with dates? If not, tell them they can bring them.

I havent heard about them giving back any $$$ but throwing in some extra stations etc.

Ask for extra stations or extra desserts for the tables or an upgrade on alcohol...

We already invited everyone with a guest and have gone through all of our lists. I actually thought that we would be way over our minimum but I was really wrong!!!

i'm having the same problem except i know for sure i'm not making my minimum..fh has only 25 people he's inviting and my family has to make up the rest make sure you ask your hall for some extras..

Re-check your guest list for any single people...now would be a great time to allow them to bring dates or even 2 guests with them or better yet ask your parents there is always a distant relative left off the guest list...you'll meet your minimum pronto good luck

maybe invite people from your work if you didnt already, or maybe your parents coworkers? some neighbors that you left off due to $$$. If you cant find anyone else, I am sure they would add other stations to CH or work something out with you!!!

We didn't make our minimum by 12 people. My hall is counting our vendors toward our minimum. I would see if they will let you do that so that you don't have to pay extra money for feeding any of the vendors that you are required to.

a friend of mine didnt make her minimum by like 15 people and they counted vendor meals and gave her extra stations and upgrades

Are you sure your guest list included everbody?? You did not make any 'hard' cuts off it? If not..then go for more yummy food!!

Thanks everyone, but seriously, we included EVERYONE!!!! I can't think of any more people. We live in NJ so there are a lot of out of towners and I think that is why this is happening. We've invited everyone from work and so far none of them are coming either.

What about friends of your sibings or parents? You could always go to classmates .com and start inviting some of us old high school classmates! Did you include your vendors into your final count? I am sure your hall will throw in extras if you explain you didn't meet the minimum. Is there something you really wanted to have at the wedding, but couldn't afford (shrimp bar, ice sculpture, vienesse) that maybe they'll throw in? I hope everything works out for you!!

Well don't forget you and FH are two people towards your count also.

Talk to your hall about including vendors, ask for extras.

What about children? Are there any parents coming that now you can include the kids?

See if they can throw some extras for you. And you can always count with us LIW Ladies to make towards that minimum. We promised to cover our plates !!!
