I'm soooooo upset!

I'm so sorry to hear that...what a terrible story. You fh's friend should be thanking him, not suing him, ITA with you!

But, if he is acting this way, minimal contact with him the better, it will look better for you two if it goes to court!

wow!!!!! first off i would get a good lawyer asap and round up any documents u have from that night...anything u have that stuopid friend might have said like a thank u..anything to show the court what a good thing ur fh was doing...

now i hope to dear god u r not keeping himinthe wedding....

i give u all the credit in the worl for not kicking the sh!t out this guy right now...u have me so mad right now...this guy should be thanking fh and this is what he does??

i dont know legal stuff but can this posiibly hold u in court?? has fh talked to this guy?

If you haven't already, you should definitely consult with a lawyer. They may be able to make a motion to dismiss the case(s) based on the finding of fault.

Also, please don't take this the wrong way. Until the case is decided, you should not post details about it on a public forum. What you say here could be found by the attorneys for the other driver and FHs friend and taken out of context and/or used against FH in the court cases.

I hope everything gets resolved quickly.

Who needs a friend like that! I can kind of understand the Ins Co, if he has a lot of medical bills and stuff, but why didn't he sue the lady's insurance company? Why the He** would he sue your FH personally, doesn't he realized he was 0% at fault!!!????? Is he suing the Lady also???
I would assume he's out of the Bridal party now!

I am so sorry you have to go through that!! I can't believe his own friend would do that to him! You hear stuff like this and it makes you think you shouldn't go out of your way to be nice to people!

Lawyer lawyer lawyer! Get one now! I'm no legal expert, but I seem to think that if the lawsuits were dismissed because your FH was found at no-fault, I can't imagine they would have anything to base a lawsuit on. If you work with a lawyer perhaps they can nip it in the bud before it ever comes before a court/judge.

Good luck ... I remember you writing about this awhile back ... what a $hitty situation ...

I agree with the previous post that said you really should not be posting this on a public forum. I would get an attorney ASAP and they will explain why the friend has to sue your FH. He was in his car and has to sue him bc he cannot sue the woman directly in order to be compensated for his injuries since he was only the passenger. I am sure there are more details to the story but since I am not a lawyer, this is how I understand it works. It s*cks but thats the way things work.

Nope not true.. he sued the lady already. He isn't getting as much as he thought he would from her insurance and he can't sue FH insurance because he was 0% at fault... so now he is moving on to personally suing him to get whatever he can from us PERSONALLY! This is not your typical case!
We have a lawyer too ... but he was working with us when it was the insurance and he is a different kind of lawyer.

HE DOES NOT HAVE TO SUE FH PERSONALLY! THAT IS A PERSONAL DECISION!!!!!

So let me get this story straight, he sued the woman for his injuries and her insurance company didnt pay him enough?? So now he is suing you for the rest of the money?
