I'm sorry, but I don't agree

Original post by minniebride14

with the 'policy' that we cannot speak negatively about vendors. I, personally, come here to hear the TRUTH about who I should/shouldn't use - not just the positive experiences. I'm not trying to cause 'drama', but the constant deletions of TRUTHFUL posts about vendors is making me very leery of continuing to come here for help. It is the brides who make this site, NOT the vendors! What is going on is simply NOT right! And, the NERVE of the vendors to call brides on their feedback is disgusting!

That's all...

Just to clarify for the new ladies who want to know what is edited, it isn't just comments that are emotional such as, 'My vendor is evil and will eat your first born and no one should ever hire those nasty villains.'

People are also edited/asked to stop comments such as 'My contract stated I would get x items, but I received x-5, and when I discussed this with the vendor they said there is nothing that they will do about it.'

Being prohibited from stating factual comments that brides would be happy to produce evidence for damaging to the integrity of the boards.

There should be a set negative feedback: 'Bad experience with XYZ vendor, please FM for details.'

You should be able to post that as often as the questions arises, just as positive feedback. I would think the vendors would like to hear neg feedback so they can change it. My boss says its okay if you mess up, its how you handle it that counts. Your photographer didn't bring the B&W film you requested, but he gave you $50 discount and a free pic. Fine.
