We went to St. Lucia for 8 days which is all inclusive and we stayed in a high class room(Not the highest but about 3rd down) and we paid $5,800.

Hey you have to ask or you don't get answers! I never have a problem giving $ breakdowns here because we're here to help one another and makes no sense to get our heearts set on a place we cannot afford.

I know St. Lucia is expensive in general because of the lack of all-inclusive resorts and its a small island waaaay down there. The most affordable islands to visit are Jamaica, the Bahamas and Dominican Republic. You have to look for deals. Establish a good relationship with your travel agent where they can call you when they get a deal somewhere you would like to go to.

We just booked a 6 day 5 night honeymoon to Punta Cana in DR. We are staying at the EXCELLENCE hotel (foremrly Secrets Excellence) which is like the BEST in adults only all-inclusive, for only $2,100 for us both (all food and liquor included) plus airfare. The hotel was super cheap-1,300. What killed us was the airefare.

Whats surprising is we went to the one in cancun last June and we paid about 1,600 PER PERSON. Its literally almost half of what we paid.

There are deals out there.

Also a side note-Mexico tends to be less expensive too because its enormous and there are hotels EVERYWHERE. They have the nicest all-inclusives because they are newer-always building.

Depends what you want. We like adults only so we have to pay more. But I have the names of lots of great all inclusives that allow kids and are highly rated fo much less money. Let me know if you geta speicific location in mind.

As far as Las Vegas, I will say this. (My FH told me this but I didnt believe him till th TA told me same thing, poor guy!:) Vegas is not relaxing honeymoon area. If you want to relax, not the area for you because running around a lot. We actualyl lookd at vegas but the TA told us not to bother with the higher end hotels like the Bellagio and Veneitian because a room is a room and you can stay at much cheaper places and still use the anemities like resturants and casinos at all of the higher-end hotels. She said Vegas is not about the room like other vacations. So thats one thought for you because I know the Venetian is expensive so that may be where a lot of your cost comes in.

Maybe try looking at a well rated but cheaper hotel and then add in those other expenses to santa Monica etc and see what you end up with.

Re: im sorry to be so bold but

honeymoons range all over the place.

But i would say an average price i've seen brides spend on this site is $5,000-6,000

Just make sure you are getting the best for your money. If $4000 is your budget, you can do a lot with it!- just do your research.

you'll find plenty of cruises in $4000 range, trips to the islands ..
you can do a lot!

good luck!

$4,000 is imo too expensive for vegas and monterey. I live in san francisco so i think you should book everything yourself b/c it would come out alot cheaper. And for 4,000 i wouldnt go to vegas and cali, i would do a carrib. cruise or stay at a resort unless you really have your heart set on vegas and cali.

$4k for your itnerary is way too expensive. I think you are getting ripped off. You can probably book everything separately by yourself and it would still be cheaper. Packages should give you a discount, not a premium!
