i love that movie...it is my life! i totally could relate to molly ringwald in it. i just was in her position with crushes in high school...always the hot unattainable jock with a heart and i watched from afar and yet was so close.

I loved Jake!

I met someone at a bq last night who is writing her dissertation on 80's 'youth films' and the Reagan presidency. I kept talking about 16 Candles and I think she wanted to move on

obviously, her paper will not be that fantastic if she wanted to move the conversation away from 16 candles. unless she was wanting to move it to another john hughes movie.

I actually did a paper on The Breakfast Club for my film class in HS!!! (basically because it was almost due & I hadn't picked a movie or done any work and I figured I'd seen that at least 4 times and would be able to write something!!!)
