i'm such a sissy....

for those who remembered my post from last week, i had a big row with my mom that ended with her hanging up the phone on me but not before she said 'you & your bf can do everything you wanted just because you got my money [suppossedly wedding gift]'

i came back from my Boston mini-vaca yesterday but i was such a sissy that i told FI i didn't want to go home. so now it's Tuesday and i *have* to come home and face her. *gulp*

FI & I are resolved in giving her money back... it's gonna be tough without it but we'll figure it out. (good thing we're planners - we have plan B and plan C!) this will actually better for us because now we could finally say that this is OUR wedding and we are proud to say we paid for everything!!! (ok, less the invitation & favor which FI's sis/aunt paid for. and less the freebies that i'm getting from work. but you get the point)

ummmm you are NOT a cowardd. i think its very brave of you to give back the money and i could honestly say ive been in this same situation and you will be so much better off without her damn money.

better a smaller wedding and it be YOURS then HERS and bigger or whateva
