Re: i'm torn between 2 halls
I've only been to a wedding at CLM so I can only speak from that experience.....my sister got married there last summer and it was UNBELIEVABLE! Great food, view and service. Loved every minute of it. I would have also gotten married there had I not been getting married in December. Good luck with your decision!!

I also can only speak for CLM b/c my wedding there was phenomenal!!!! We couldn't believe how much we got for our money and just how gorgeous and unique it is. But, I've heard VYC is also beautiful. Good luck in your decision! Maybe you can see which one you get more for your money with...

I saw both on the same day. I liked the view from VYC better, I also thought the rooms were a lot bigger looking. I haven't seen CLM since they renovated though. But VYC is gorgeous.

I say both halls and the CLM is beautiful, but the VYC is amazing and the view is outstanding. I also liked the people better at VYC. Thats why I chose it.

Re: i'm torn between 2 halls
I cant say either is better than the other... BUT.. I feel that customer service is a huge deal when planning an expensive event! Every time ive emailed CLM someone has gotten back to me that very day. I emailed the VYC...and its been forever...no response. This may mean nothing in the long run...but to me it helps! Another place that always gets back FAST is Giorgios!!

WHAT?!?!?!?!?! I thought you were booked? OMG!
I agree. Do a tasting at VYC. I've heard much more about CLM only b/c it's been around longer. But keep in mind also that VYC is a 'new' hall so will prob try to impress you more.... so you rave about it. Good luck Karen!!! I'm crossing my fingers for you!

Hi Ladies, I don't know if you saw my post regarding the food tasting at the VYC on Monday. It was incredible, check it out if you have not.
I have been to weddings at both (well VYC when it was John Anthony's) I would say that they are both nice places but I for me the VYC was more special, with all the renovations - it is just beyond classy! CLM is nice too, but I prefer VYC. (Plus FH lives 1 mile away from CLM, so it was too close to home for me)

Re: i'm torn between 2 halls
go and have a tasting and compare them yourself. i have never even seen VYC but i occasionally let it known that i personally don't care for the food at CLM from attending a function there. that was my isolated experience and opinion...soi think YOU should taste at both and see which YOU like more.
in the end, our opinions don't matter...go with what YOU like.

I love the VYC I almost booked it but our families are coming from Conn., NJ and RI so we decided to go with a Manhattan location.
