I'm torn...North Ritz or Watermill?

I'm torn...North Ritz or Watermill?

Hi everyone!

Well, I got very busy and saw a few places this week. Found that there was not much available for next July or August, but each place did have a few dates available, mostly in the afternoons, and while at first I was against it, I realized I could save a lot of money that way. So right now we are planning on a Saturday afternoon July 2005.

The problem: we are torn between North Ritz Club and the Watermill!

We think both are so beautiful and very professional. The only thing I don't like about North Ritz is that Jericho turnpike is whizzing by. And my only issue with Watermill is that I wanted only one wedding at a time, and here there are 2. The BM swears I will never bump into the other bride though.

We have to decide fast because its really booking up fast. Any feedback? TIA

Well, I dont know if this helps, but I know they are both exceptional places. I was in a wedding at the Watermill though in June, and I could tell you that i never saw the other wedding going on that day. The food and service there was also fantastic. Best of luck in whatever u choose!

They are both nice places and have had great reviews on here. Did you compare what they both offer, does one have a better deal for your money than the other? Tough decision, but good luck!!

That is a tough one!
I got married at the Watermill so I'm biased....but my cousin got married at North Ritz and it was one of my favorite weddings ever....

Good luck!

as a past NRC bride I can tell you this: when you're at your reception you will not care about the cars wizzing by on JT and no one else will either. It was not an issue for us and i'm sure past bride of the NRC will tell you the same. NRC is a beautiful place and the service and detail to attention from everyone that works there is amazing!!!!

good luck in your decision

They both have such great reputations - I don't know how I am ever going to choose!!!! I guess I can't lose any way I go. But why couldn't I just fall in love with one place and make my life easier?!

I was torn between two places too due to dates and I actually had a 'sign' when I was at NRC. I love frogs and a little frog was hopping in front of me in the gardens at NRC. That was it for me! I felt at home at NRC...it doesn't have that 'catering hall' feeling.

Where are most of your guests coming from? If they are coming from the city, queens or Nassau, I would choose NRC for an afternoon wedding.

They are both really nice places... My cousin got married at the Watermill and it was beautiful! I chose the North Ritz because it was 1 wedding at a time (something that was very important to my FH).

However, when I brought my FMIL with me to a showcase at the Watermill, she wanted to know why we didn't have it there. I absolutely loved the outdoor patio at the Watermill, but the outside wasn't a factor for my time of year (I guess that's also why I wasn't bothered by Jericho Tpke whizzing by at North Ritz). And we had too many guests to have the upstairs room at the Watermill, the room I fell in love with there.

It's a really tough decision!!! Good luck!!!!

North Ritz! It's about the 1 wedding at a time, makes a HUGE difference.

Two Words: Hamptons Traffic
If you are having at Watermill in the summer you might have a problem with the traffic depending on where you are coming from

NRC - you won't be dissapointed with your decision!!!

yet another vote for the NRC. personally, i wanted one wedding at a time. that was very important to me. also, the decor and the size of the room were perfect for our taste. the service has been amazing thus far. i have been to the watermill for dinnr dances and weddings and it is very nice, but my vote is for the NRC!

Two more thumbs up for the North Ritz.

I had an afternoon outdoor ceremony at NRC, and no one even remembered that we were on JT - no traffic sounds, no distractions.

I've been to weddings at both places and they are truly exceptional in their own way. Since you are so torn between both of them, my advice would be to set up a list about both places. Put what you like and don't like about each one of them. There are plenty of reviews on here as well that can inform of things you probably didn't notice and then see what's really important for both of you.
Good Luck in whichever you choose. You will have a wonderful wedding either way !!!

I had my wedding at NRC two years ago...when the fence wasn't up and I still didn't hear any cars. I was more concerned with sharing my place with other brides. (I'm an only child~I don't share! ) But you look like a NRC bride!!

Watermill!! Is one place closer to where your guests will be staying? Maybe that will help you make a decision.

I have been to a baby shower at Watermill, it was a Saturday afternoon in June (this year). I saw 3 brides from 3 weddings. 2 upstairs and 1 downstairs.

If this is a concern, I'd go with NRC.

I have not been to an affair at NRC, but did ck them out for my June 2006 wedding. Only reason we did not go with them was the $$, it was out of our price range.
