I'm up to the photographer, whoo hoo!!!

Original post by jrl0223

Things are moving along nicely. I just booked tha tband and now I'm on to my photographer hunt.

Obviously I'm looking for a great photographer, one who does both traditional and photojournalistic. Can everyone please post who they have used or are using? I'd liek to get the most for my $ as I'm sure you all are :)

Thanks!

I'm also looking for a photographer.
Some of the people listed here don't have too much info on their websites, but great photos.

I'm looking for traditional film, B & W and Color, 2 photographers, mix of photojournalism & traditional, proofs & negs to keep, digital album plus 2 traditional pants albums.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
I think Mark Kaufmann might fit this descrption. And possibly Perceptions.

Not sure about the other ones mentioned.

I think Tom would be a good second photographer for what you describe, however I found that some studios and people do not like to work with photographer they do not know and/or have not worked with before.

Tom's rate info is listed here, just click on rate info, album info and consider this to get a better idea of how he works.

I checked out some others mentioned on LIW and clicked with Tom the best. I also want greater control over my album and may take care of the whole thing myself...TBD. Tom will assist if need be...

Yes, that's exactly what I'm getting with Perceptions.

cool, Two Bugs! I'll give them a call. I havea feeling this is goignto be $$$, but msotly b/c of what i want, not b/c of who I choose.

I looked at Tom Weiss's website.
I didn't like the do it your self album idea. It's a col idea, that you can make it more personal, but I'll stress too much & never get it done.
And i wanted a little more tradiotional, not jsut Photjournalism.
He's still in consideration, but I think not exactly what I'm looking for.

What kind of package/services did you have with imagine?

Re: I'm up to the photographer, whoo hoo!!!

You make up your pkg, they show you their standard pkgs and you can add and take out whatever you want. I booked them in 2001, if you contact them they will email you their rates and pkgs.

Another Silverfox bride here. They did my wedding in Dec. and they were amazing. Go to their website and see some of their work (we're in the recent galleries!). Good luck!
