Dh and I went back to the doc today for my 12 1/2 week checkup only to find out that the baby wasn't alive anymore. It was the most awful experience of my life.....one minute being all excited to see the baby and to hear the heartbeat and then the next minute staring at a screen only to see a lifeless baby...it was just so awful...I completely broke down in the doctors office. So now I have to wait for the dr. to call me tomorrow so that she could schedule a D&C. I'm so upset I don't even want to go to work and I'm nervous about that procedure because as you all already know I am a big baby....so please say a little prayer for me.

I am so sorry There are no words to help you I am sure. Make sure you speak to the doctor and ask him/her to explain the entire D&C to you so you know exactly what will happen before, during and after the procedure. Give yourself time to grieve. This is not something you 'just get over'.

I'm so sorry I've been there- I know what a profound loss this is for you & DH. Don't be afraid about the D&C- you're completely knocked out for the procedure and will wake up in recovery. Take some time off work, as there may be cramping. Give yourself time to heal. FM if you have ANY questions. There are so many of us on here that have been through this. I know this board helped me so much when I experienced my miscarriage. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Oh God, Im so very sorry. I can only imagine how you are feeling and I wish I had the words to comfort you but I know I dont. Im so sorry for you, your DH and your little angel.
