I'm very sad!!

Dh and I went back to the doc today for my 12 1/2 week checkup only to find out that the baby wasn't alive anymore. It was the most awful experience of my life.....one minute being all excited to see the baby and to hear the heartbeat and then the next minute staring at a screen only to see a lifeless baby...it was just so awful...I completely broke down in the doctors office. So now I have to wait for the dr. to call me tomorrow so that she could schedule a D&C. I'm so upset I don't even want to go to work and I'm nervous about that procedure because as you all already know I am a big baby....so please say a little prayer for me.

I am deeply sorry for your loss, even more so, having gone through the same thing myself at 9 weeks. I also had a D&C and while it was the most hardest and difficult thing I had to do, the physical pain was nothing compared to the emotional pain.

Take care of yourself and give yourself all the time you want and need to grieve your loss. I won't lie and tell you that it never goes away, because it's always there with you. Yes, your life will go on and be filled with the joy of having a baby one day, but you will always hold a special place in your heart for the child that never was.

I never thought my dream of having a baby would come true after the devasting loss of my first pregnancy, but it did. And so will yours!
