I'm very upset...

I'm very upset...

I don't know if I can explain this, but I'll try. I teach private flute lessons, and I have a lot of students that have been studying with me for 6 and 7 years. They are mostly girls in high school, some in college. Well, I had been teaching this one girl for a long time before I moved to Massachusetts a couple of years ago. She was a bit older, and her and I became friends. When I moved, she went to go study with a friend of mine for a year before she went to college. When I was home from MA, I saw her one time. We were so close that I asked her to be a BM in my wedding. Well, after that, I emailed her, and she never got back to me. Well, a few months later I called her, and then I emailed her...NOTHING. So anyway, long story short...she dropped out of college and moved back to the island, and now she is STILL not talking to me, and NOW, she's been trying to take my private students from me One of my private students just told me that three girls that were studying with me, are now studying with this other girl. I'm just really upset because I taught this girl from the time she was a kid and we were friends. I hate people sometimes. I just needed to vent. Thanks.

OMG, that's horrible. Why is she doing this to you? How inconsiderate. Don't worry what comes around, goes around.

Well, to take it further......the friend that I sent her to go study with after I moved...she won't return my calls at all anymore, either. And I studied with HER for TEN YEARS. Ten years of my life she was my teacher and my friend, then a year in Massachusetts, and she won't return my calls either. I've gone OVER AND OVER if I could have done somethign or said something, and I honestly cannot think of ANYTHING that I have done that would have led them to be this way.

At this point, I can deal with the loss of the friendships, but what I CANNOT deal with is someone trying to steal my business. It's just BAD BAD BAD. You should NEVER burn bridges that way! When I gave my 'friend' my students when I left for MA, I would not have dreamed of taking them back when I moved home, all because it's burning bridges. I'm so pissed, but I don't want to say anything. I'm just glad the three students who left to study with her, I didn't like

that s ucks! people like her are just horrible and its best to just move on and not let her get to you. she was stealing your teachings (for lack of a better word) and trying to pass it off as her own. thats jsut awful and karma's a biotch and she'll get hers

a good friend is hard to find i rather have a few really good friends than alot of friends and it hurts to find out the hard way. look at the girl who was my bm she ended up being jealous of me and wouldnt call me back 5 months after my wedding people can be strange. it ***** she took your students away from you. i would find out how she did and do it to her to see how she feels if she is cheap go alittle less on price to get those that she stole from you. and dont call her they probably think they have the upperhand now.

I am sorry Rachel, I learned the hard way that there are very few people in life you can actually depend on and unfortunately friends aren't always on the top of the list. Feel better hun . . .

Ughhh...that is just SO not right Is this girl supposed to be coming to your wedding?? If so I can take her out back and show her what she gets for messing with my friend

Seriously, I wish I had advice. I'd definately be hurt. She's obviously not worth your time
