Re: imagine studios
there is only one photographer, Lia. They did my wedding and the proofs were wonderful. I believe we got approximately 500-600 proofs.

Re: imagine studios
Like Mary said Lia is the only one that shoots, she has an asstnt but she does majority of the shooting. She is there from beginning to end. Did you not go to visit her??? She will answer all your questions

Re: imagine studios
I am using Imagine Studios. I just took my engagement pictures last Monday. Lia is really nice and I love her pictures. I will give you an update when I get them back.

Re: imagine studios
I am using Imagine Studios as well. Lia is so awesome to work with. She makes you feel so comfortable in front of the camera (I hate posing for pictures). One of the reasons I chose them was because she is the owner and only photographer - Plus their work is absolutely wonderful. I took my engagement pictures the last week of April at Sunken Meadow - It was FREEZING! I was worried we'd look all stiff and cold but when I got the pictures back I was speechless - So much more beautiful than I could've imagined. I can't wait for her to shoot my wedding now - I would definitely check them out. Their website is www.imaginestudios.net but it doesn't do her justice -

Re: imagine studios
I really liked Lias work as well. I would suggest that you discuss backup photographers in case Lia is sick or something. She had told me that her assistant would photograph the wedding if she could not be there, and that made me a bit nervous. I went with a studio for that reason, I was more comfortable knowing that they had been around a long time and had a backup photographer on call every weekend, as well as backup equipment, just in case. I am very paranoid about stuff like that, so I decided it was not worth the worry (for me). If you are comfortable with that, I say go with them, she does great work-but shop around and get her to come down on price, her packages are pricey for what is included.

Re: imagine studios

Re: imagine studios
The negatives are included for no charge. They have set packages all with albumns but I'm sure they will work with you. A typical photo/video package with a lot a great stuff runs about $5000+. They had really minimal packages for around $2500-3000 if I am remembering correctly. I hope this helps -

Re: imagine studios
If Lia is out sick on the day of your wedding, she will send two photographers to cover your day. One to shoot color and one to shoot black and white. I think her prices are comprable to a lot of others that we looked at. You can work a pkg to your liking, that is what we did. Lia has been doing wedding photography for over 7 years. Her work is absolutely fab!!!Happy planning all

Re: imagine studios
Lizmike8 - Just an FYI - I checked out my package listing this weekend and I noticed the package with no album was listed at $1800 - That was a year ago though so I think their prices went up a little bit. Hope this helps -

Re: imagine studios
thank you for the info. did the 1800 include the whole day with proofs and negatives? are you doing the albums after the wedding?

Re: imagine studios
That $1800 included full day coverage (no overtime - they'll stay with you as long as you need them), proofs and negatives. If you paid about $400 more you get an albumn of thirty-something pictures. I am going with an upgraded package - lots and lots of stuff - so I am paying more (I believe for just photography I'm paying about $4000). It is a little expensive but photography is one of the things I wanted to splurge on.

Re: imagine studios
There are different packages for the video. The minimun package for video was probably around $1000. I'll check tonight when I go home and post the exact amount tomorrow. Keep in mind that their prices have gone up a little bit since I got the quotes a little over a year ago. This must be a new policy that you have to get the video too - I know I had the option to not get the video.

That stinks about having to get the video too-- I liked their website but I don't want a video.

Re: imagine studios
dcbride - they are still worth a call. I dont know how strict they are about that policy. If you are getting married off season they may not require both,

Re: imagine studios
I have a price list from March at home, that is probably pretty recent. I remember that for a decent package (albums included) as well as video (edited-the first video 'package' that they have is unedited), it was about $5600 or so.Welcome New Vendors
