Important news about East Wind

I was at the East Wind yesterday and when she showed us the bridal suite in the country Gardens I kind of got the feeling like it was a bomb shelter...We actually had to walk around this back alley to get there...very not what I expected from the EW. Also, the paint is peeling off the columns in the front of the pavilion. I think I have to keep looking around...Was expecting a more classy place. The video they gave us was a nice touch.

I was just at East Wind (the estate and the Inn) the painting crew was there and they were painting everything. Ken, the owner is a fanatic about stuff like that. I am very surprised that you could even see the paint chip.

As for the placement of the Bridal suite, I have no idea about the CG.

If it is somewhere you are interested in I might suggest that you ask to meet with Ken and talk to him. We had concerns when we first looked there and that is what we did. It made me feel much better. He even made it a point to find my mother and I at the next showcase and talk to us personally!

Hello Girls!!

I'm a newbie as well...just got the ring !! So excited and can't wait to join in the festivities! Also, since I just went to East Wind I wanted to start right up and add my 2 cents...
They are huge sticklers about upkeeping their buildings. They are also really nice there and whenever I call I'm always greeted by a friendly person. We're really just concentrating on them and not doing to much other shopping...anymore clues into Ew that your 'experianced' chatters could help me with?!

I thought the same thing when I saw Country Gardens. The bridal suite seemed like a damp basement and it's in such a wierd location.
The Estate is beautiful, but VERY expensive.

I'm getting married in The Inn at East Wind. I had heard that the country gardens wasn't that warm.
But i love the Inn and The Estate. I have been to several wedding there and
i can't complain about any of them. Food, service,etc...................excellent.
They have been very accomadating with us. I had some concerns and they were dealt with
And I'm still happy. Good Luck!

I went to check out the CG @ EW and I wasnt impressed at all. You are right about walking into the basement in the back of a dark alley to get to the Bridal Suite... its scary!!! Also I didnt like how you are in one room for the cocktail hour then you have to walk outside and into a different building to get to the reception... what if its windy, rainy, cold, snowy, hailing out??? Not my idea of a great time.

I also went to a showcase there and was NOT impressed with their food. 2 of the things I tried were cold in the center. BLECH.

Im sorry to have such a neg. review of this place and I dont want to p*ss off any brides that are going to have their weddings there but this is JMO of the place and I hope you have a beautiful day... maybe that day they were just 'off'
