I have a princess cut with chanel set diamonds on the side. I've been thinking about chaning it because one chanel set diamond is out of place. I've had it fixed three times and its still not right. Also the princess cut is very impractical!!! I'm always ripping gloves and what not at work!!
Keep the stone and change the setting.

Im a nurse and have a high set princess cut.. i have come to grips with the fact i will never be wearing my ring at work anymore.... but i used to turn my ring inside so that the diamond was facing my palm and that made gloves easier to wear.... even still im scared im gonna snap gloves off and wooshhh there goes my diamond.

im a medical assistant and all i do is take blood... and im always ripping gloves.. hence.. FH is buying me a ring to wear with no stones for chrismas!
