But, I thought this information could help you early brides.
1. For the first time ever, the USPS is going to be issuing special 'Wedding Stamps.' Each packet will have 39 cent and 63 cent stamps that look similar (OCD girls, your time has come). This will be issued on March 1st (thanks USPS for nothing!)
2. The next round of 63 cent stamps will be issued on February 22nd. Until then, you must use a 60 cent stamp plus the additional stamp. (Boooooo)
3. The only other thing we can do is get the prepaid stickers with the exact postage and apply those to our invites (what I think I might do) so you don't have crazy stamps.
My calligrapher JUST finished the envelopes and Frank is picking them up tonight. I have no way of getting them out by Saturday...and basically... I don't want to. I want to do a 8 - 10 week send out. Boooooooo!!!!!!
I called Washington DC and spoke with a community relations girl (just like me) and told her that she just disappointed thousands of march brides.
Hope this helps the rest of yous!

Re: Important Stamp Information
Yikes, that is definately harsh that they will not release the .63 stamps til Feb! What if you did personal stamps?
I know you wanted to do the 8-10 weeks, but I can honestly say I am glad I got them out before all this craziness!!!

Re: Important Stamp Information
This ruins it for us April brides also!! I plan on mailing mine out around Feb. 10, because my response date is March 11th!!
Thus the reason I will probably go with the personalized stamp route, to avoid all of this nonsense. (zazzle.com, photo.stamps.com)

frank won't do the personalized stamps.
i hear you kissy - definitely great you got them out.
i just didn't want them to be out there for that long. i'm hoping some people forget about our wedding and have to RSVP 'No'...

Re: Important Stamp Information
This is why you should assemble 1 invite completely and have it weighed. Because let's face it, NO ONE's invite is going to be 39 cents!!! It's going to be either 63 or 87 cents.

Re: Important Stamp Information
I hope to get mine out by sunday- they are running late. Otherwise I was thinking of phot stamps- the USPS is silly for this tho! I was thinking of getting stamps higher than my cost so I can still have just the one tho....luckily it looks like I'll make the Sunday deadline!

I agree with you - I obviously have not sent my invites out yet - but the list has grown to outrageous proportions and I hope 30% do say NO!

Re: Important Stamp Information
It took me about an hour to an hour and a half to stuff my invites....and I only have 54 going out (for 115 people)!!
I feel bad for those that have 175+ to send out!!

200 strong baby!
Me and my mom decided to do two of these stamps because I am absolutely in love with them. And they'll grace the response card too.
Thank you mom for calming my OCD Bridal tendancies.....

We may go this route - prepaid stickers with the exact postage
