I need some help - I am approaching 11 weeks - I am not huge - but my belly is showing (I am a small girl to begin with).
I am finding my shirts are riding up on me like crazy - so I need some larger clothes. I tried some maternity clothes and they are huge.
I know some people say buy things in bigger sizes...I wear a s or xs now - if I get mediums or larges wont the arms be too long and the overall fit just be too big?
it's getting harder and harder to find things to wear in the morning - any ideas???

Re: In - between clothes?
I am a small girl too ( pre-preggo size 1-3) I had some shirts that were size med - they took me only to about 12 wks then I decided to buy maternity becuase I couldnt go up in size anymore- regular clothes a few sizes up just didnt look right in the butt leg and arm area. the store h and m has really cute stuff and I found that their smalls fit me like a glove for weeks 12- 18 and now Im wearing their meds which are fitting really nice- I find that their clothes are flattering as opposed to other places.

Re: In - between clothes?
I'm having the same exact problem (11 weeks). I tried on some bigger sizes and they just made me look funny all around b/c they were just too big. I've been doing the rubber band thingy on my pants but I too need bigger shirts to hide the rubberband. I went to Old Navy and found some xs stuff (very hard to find) so I bought 2 pairs of maturnity pants (only $12.99 each!)and 1 pair of capri jeans. They are still big on me but I didn't want to let the xs's get away!
Where is H&M?

Re: In - between clothes?
Target's Liz Lange Maternity has what is called 'transition' clothes. I wore the pants at around 12 weeks until about 20 -25 weeks. Try them out, they are inexpensive and easy to care for.

The bigger sizes is the only thing that worked for me at that stage because my boobs were getting so big. I think you just have to play around in different stores because they size things differently and the clothes then fit differently.
I'm still too small for maternity and too big now even for my bigger sizes!!

Re: In - between clothes?
I ordered the Bella Band I love it. I still wear it with my low rise maternity pants because even at 8 months they feel like they won't stay up. I wore my regular clothes until about 17 weeks then had to go into maternity clothes. I had the same problem as you, if I bought a size bigger it was to long in the arms, so I just started wearing maternity shirts even though they were a little big. I really liked Old Navy stuff but don't put anything in the dryer because they shrink.

Re: In - between clothes?
I went with a size or two bigger. I bought a couple shirts in mediums or large's and then some pants/skirts in a size or two up. This pretty much got me frlom weeks 11/12 thru weeks 23/26. Some things fit until even later than that -esp sweats and low rise stuff. I didn't buy much - mostly basics and mixed and matched. I tried to buy maternity but it just looked silly on me until my belly pouched. It all depends on how you are growing. I am also tall so larger sizes fit me ok and didn't look bad. It is good because since I had the baby last week - my maternity clothes are a little too big and most of my regular clothes are too small.
