Oh I am so very sad! I HATE spiders, but there is this one spider who has lived in the corner of my boiler room for over a year. I see her every time I do laundry. I've named her Charlotte (super creative on my part) and I've been keeping an eye on her (aka not killing her) since last spring. Last week I noticed that Charlotte was making her web extra big, and she had some little pods on it... well today I just went in to do my laundry, and poor Charlotte is all shriveled up and dead, but there are baby spiders on the web! I'm grossed out, but also unnaturally sad about the death of Charlotte

Did you know that on average, we swollow 7 spiders per year in our sleep

I knew that. it makes me a little quezy to think about it.

Heather you are brave for letting them stay. Charlotte wouldnt have been allowed to stay..lol I didnt know spiders lived that long.

awwww....

its ok, our fish Taj (a beta fish) died yesterday - when FH and i got home he was dead i actually cried over it - i was sad, we had him for 1 year a 2 months and that is a long time for a fishie - we kept joking that if he made it to the wedding i would bring him to the hotel with me so i guess i was disappointed - i felt so bad for him and i was so emotional over it - we put him in a tiny box and buried him in the backyard - FH wanted to flush him and i said no way - so we had a little burial for the fishie - so i think i just might trump you in the crazy department

Aww, I just lost a beautiful beta fish a couple of months ago. It wasn't long, but I still felt bad. My FH found it before I noticed, so I don't want to think about how he handled her burial.

She was one of those big spiders, so maybe they live a little longer.

I HATE SPIDERS.

I was doing my laundry this morning and found one in the basket. I squashed it with a sock (not mine, FH's!) and then went to look for it, and it went flying in the other direction ... I think it stayed in the basket, but I never found it. UGH!

Mima...first im sorry for your loss of dear charlotte but im not sure if you have ever been exposed to baby spiders. What appears to be a few can actually be THOUSANDS. Trust me!! I brought it a nest on my shoe and it hatched, well a few days later there were HUNDREDS of baby spiders on my bedroom ceiling. I had to gut my entire bedroom, wash every single piece of clothing, spray every single surface down with spider killer about 10 times. It was a nightmare. i couldnt sleep in my room for almost 2 months!
