Boosh and I are playing hooky from work today.

Actually, it's semi-legit. I've been coming down with a cold/respiratory infection. I went to the doctor and got put on antibiotics. I don't feel terrible except for minor throat irritation. But, I heard that the weather was going to be really bad today, so I didn't want to chance aggravating this. We have a wedding on Saturday that I HAVE to be well for.

Boosh called in sick to keep me company

i'm ashamed to admit this, but I feel guilty about doing it because I'm not really THAT sick. It wasn't bad when I went to the doc and now that I'm on the medicine, it's very minor. I did it cuz of the weather and because I need to be 100% for Saturday.

But I still feel guilty. With the job market the way it is, people are afraid to take 'health days' I usually go to work sick, and just stay away from people, or I'll go in and leave early.

I'm the same way, I've second guessed my decision like 8 times already. In my company, you don't get reimbursed for sick days you don't use.

Today is the perfect day to call in sick and stay under the covers, I sooo wish I was home!!
