IN HONOR OF DEBMAHER: QOTD- If you could get back anything you lost in childhood, what would it be?
I am not trying to take Deb's place but I miss her QOTD. So although I doubt I could do as well, here is one.
My answer would be two things, one is tangible and the other is not.
1-My gold cross that I wore when I was Christened.
2-My relationship with my Uncle who I still miss.

1. My cousin Sabrina. My uncle and his wife had a bitter divorce, she got custody, and no one has seen her since we were little.
2. My old house. I grew up in a place with a big backyard. Being in an apartment now just isn't the same.

My grandmother who I lost when I was 8. I still miss her soo much.
And my diamond name plate when I was 11 or 12. It was my first piece of 'real' jewlery and I lost it only 2 days after getting it on christmas!

1- my grandparent's house, what i wouldn't kill to have gone into major debt and bought it when they moved.
2- my grandfather, I lost him at 14 and though I feel blessed to have known him as well as I did, I am the oldest of the grandchildren, I miss him.

1. My cousin's and family - sans one of them. There was a huge fight that made my family break ties with my grandfather's sister and her family... I understand why we no longer speak to them, but I really miss my cousins - especially Janet. She was that big sister i never had - i totally idolized her. We kind of had a little tradition in my family... My aunt was her mother's flower girl, janet was my mother's flower girl, i was janet's jr. bm, and i recently found out janet has a 2 year old little girl who could have been my fg I just wish her father wasn't such a jackas$ so that they could still be part of our family...
2. Much less sentimental, and long, my CD case that i lost in high school. It had 40 something CDs in there and it dissappeard.

when I was growing up in Poland we didnt have much money... my parents taped me on regular tape singing some songs and just talking... when we moved to the US we couldnt take a lot of stuff and somewhere we misplaced the tape... I wish I could have it back

JK - A ring my father and mother gave me. I broke it and then hid it so I wouldnt get yelled at and never found it again.

This sounds cheezy, but I really miss my innocence. Although at the time, things just seemed so major, I really miss feeling positive and happy ALL the time regardless of what was going on around me.

The carefree feeling that I had as a child. Playing outside until the sun came down...nothing beats growing up in PR - my house on the mountain, I can go on an on...

1. My neighbors.....I had the best neighbors, and growing up most of them have moved. Aside from me & a little old lady across the street, we're like the only one's left.

my schedule! i didnt have a thing to do except Play! i miss that freedom
my dog sheba (she was a Huge Husky w/ 1 brown eye 1 blue eye, and had the personality of Nanna from Peter pan)
my Glowworms christmas special VHS that my little sister tore the tape out of when she was little. brat! it was my favorite christmas special EVER!

My innocence, the newness of everything, looking at everything in awe..and just me being naive and not realizing the horrors of the world, living without fear...my parents being my world....they still are, but when you're young, you rely on them for EVERYTHING...and it's so amazing that what they give you seems like EVERYTHING you ever wanted....

What a deep question, so here is my deep answer:
1. My old house. It was so big and beautiful and life was so happy there.
2. My relationship with my dad. We used to be best friends when I was really little, but as I grew up he couldn't deal with that and other things, so things changed. My wedding is making me miss that relationship more and more.

1. memorable items such as pictures (trying to build my photo montages was probally the hardest thing to do for this wedding)
2. our house...my parents owned this great house. big, space, basement... every toy i could imagine...
