In Need of Serious Makeup Help

I had my first trial makeup this weekend. Did not go well. In all honesty, its mostly my skins fault for not cooperating (VERY OILY). I made it clear that my ONLY concern, (im not fussy about much) was that my skin is very oily, hence my foundation never lasts. The lady (fm for names) informs me NOT TO WORRY! try airbrushing! I did, and within 10 min of leaving salon, my skin was AN OIL SLICK, seriously it looked like i was just dipped in chicken grease..and within 3-4 hrs the makeup pretty much had dissappeared. I think she was focused on not overdoing it and not making it 'Cakey'....which is not my plan, im like BRING IT ON! gimme everything u got.!...so my question to you guys is this, does anyone have oily skin and had a succesful make up application? Can anyone reccomend an artist not afraid of foundation? PLEASE HELP :)
THANKS!

Well I do not know where you are located but I am using fashion shots in Miller Place.
First off they do weddings all the time but the make up they have is photo make up so it is great coverage, I always wear makeup to cover some freckles I cant stand...you Wouldn't even know I have them.
I have used them for all the occasions I needed my make up done.
Simmone is the owner and she is amazing a true artist.
I told her to bring it and she brought it!
I had it done at 11am and went to a party that night.when i got home at 2am still looked like it was just done.
My only suggestion is if you want darker eye make have her go light with it cause she is kinda heavy and she can add to it if it is to light.
I have a few closer pics in my album but my eyes are squinted cause i took the out side but you can see the coverage.
Also she is going to sell me the press powder she is going to use $16, she said during the day i can just dab it on for a touch up if i sweat or my skin gets greasy it will soak any moisture up.

I have oily skin and so does one of my BMs... We had airbrushing done for my wedding and it lasted ALL day, with NO complaints. I think it has to do with the type of foundation they use and the prep you put on your skin to control the oil throughout the day.

I used Marie Katz for my makeup and it was great!

One suggestion, it's a little pricey, but goes a LOOOOONG way... I don't remember the name of it, but Chanel makes it - I think it's T-Mat Shine Control. It's a great base that controls the oil production... I used it and so did my BM... it definitely worked.

I have oily skin too and airbrush is supposed to help control it (gives a matte finish and last all day). It might depend on the brand being used though. I went for a (great!) airbrush trial with Karen Wysoki (Art of Makeup/vendor on here) and she used MAC and it lasted till I took it off at midnight that evening. No shine, no oiliness and great coverage (I hate my skin!!!). Although I didn't use her (by the time I got back to her she was booked) I totally recommend her.
