In Reference To Godparents

Did u find a creative way to ask?
With Billy I had just sorta 'asked' his godparents to be just that, in the hospital.
I was thinking of a more sentimental way this time around..
Any suggestions?

When my cousin asked me to be Godmother, she just slipped it into the conversation. I forgot what we were talking about but she said something like 'no, I didn't see that in the store and would you be the baby's godmother?' She asked me on Christmas Eve (5 years ago) I almost dropped the plate of food that I was carrying. I was so happy and honored.
