In regards to registering for china...

How many settings did you register for? Are you registering for an extra set in case you should break something? Or will you worry about that when the time comes?

As I said in the other china post I will be using my moms china/ She only had 8 placesettings so I registered for 4 more. 12 should be plenty. You could get an extra just in case.

I also registered for 12. If something happens to break, you can worry about that when the time comes.

If fh and I could have actually agreed on a pattern, which we still have not done, hence there will be no china at this time for us, we would have gotten 12. (Sense the hostility toward this topic? lol)

you should do 12. service for 8 plus extras. this way if you break dishes, youhave more, or in case pattern ever was discontinued

we only registered for 8. Figured that was a good start, and we'll add on as time passes. We wanted to ensure that the other items had a chance to be purchased off our registry as well.

I registered for 12 but ended up with two extras -- I decided to keep them, so we have a set of 14..
