In the Mix DJ & question about Sax/Percussionist

So far i met with Body Rock & just came back from a bridal show & meet briefly with In the Mix..

With Body rock i didn't like the fact that you don't meet the DJ & MC until your wedding day.

I really like the DJ/MC from In the Mix that I met at the showcase. I met Donny. He said you do meet with them prior to your wedding day. He seemed down to earth & honest. I really want just the basic package with 1 DJ AND 1 MC. Not into all the extras y. So when i make an appointment to meet with them at their ofifice will they try to be pushy and get me to go with any of the extras? Anybody ever meet with them? Their price was very reasonable. Also, they never played at the Fox Hollow. Is that such a big deal?

My other question is did anybody ever have the sax player or drummer at their wedding along with the DJ? Both Body Rock & In the Mix have this option. This seems to be the new trend. Its hard for me to picture. I went my FMIL and Mom to see Body Rock since my FH was working. They seemed to really like the idea of a sax player at the CH. But thats an extra $700.. Can't see paying the extra $$$ for just the CH.

Any thoughts. opinions?? I think of all the vendors the entertainment (besides RH) is the most important decision. I want everybody to be dancing all night long

alot of people have percussion and sax now at their weddings, i am gonna do the same

Hmmmm i didnt meet with either, but i also find it weird that you dont meet your dj until the wedding

He's awesome, did my brother's wedding and my BM wedding... he's the best around!!
They always play great music, and everyone is always out on the dance floor!

i'm using In the Mix also. I booked Donny but haven't met him in person yet.

I went in and met with the owner Jack back in December...my friend who DJ's at the parties I used to promote for works at In the MIx for his day job and that's the reason I booked with them. I didn't request him for my wedding because he is being invited as a guest, but he assured me that everyone at In the Mix is great!

I booked only a DJ & MC and he didn't push me at all to book anything else. He told me if I ever wanted to add something just to call them and that would be fine as long as they had availability.

Just this week I added a DJ set up for the CH. For us, that's all we need!

I wouldnt book with someone if i couldnt meet the mc before the wedding. And I would also be turned off by the pressure. Maybe you should shop around some more before booking.

Great... i really liked the price & Donny wasn't very pushy at all. BUTi me being the skeptic iam, said yeah right wait until me gets me into the office!

i just want everybody up & dancing.. i hope he is available that date..

i did ask he ever played fox hollow & he said no.. they played everywhere else!

I am hesitant to book live musicians... never went to wedding that they had it, so i am resitant to book

i booked them too. i also saw them at FHs cousins wedding and they were fantastic!!

when i went to book i chose a simple pkg just like what you stated and i wasnt pressured into anything else....like any other company they HAVE to let you know everything they offer, but if youre not interested - its cool!!

Prices were definitely competitive!
