In the Mix vs. Long Island Sound DJ's- who would you use?
I'm going to meet the 2 this week and want to make a decision. They are both quoting the same price for 4 hr affair. Over the phone, I didn't get a great vibe but some liwedding brides are using them. Who would you go with and why? for afternoon wedding, laid back-80's music with jazz and oldies but goodies. Thanks!

We booked In the Mix. We met with Jack, and we requested for him to be our MC. We liked his personality and he seemed to understand and have no problem with playing what we wanted. I think any DJ will play what you request, you just need to feel comfortable with the DJ/MC that is going to be there that day. Meeting with a few would be in your best interest. I did not get to meet with LI Sounds. Hope this helps somewhat. Good Luck!

Thanks Nicole. I think Danny, the owner said I might get Jack as well. Have you heard them play in other weddings before? Thanks for the feedback. I think I am leaning toward them over LI sounds, since they seem to have a larger selection of music and the owner actually seem to have heard of OMD's 'If you leave' or Depeche Mode 'O'lamour' and Cranberries 'Dreams' must plays for me.

My girlfriend, had them at her wedding but she also had a Greek band, so they didn't get to play much, but when they did the selection was exactly what she requested. I think once you meet with them you will feel confident in a decision. Again Good luck, let me know what you think after you meet with them.
