in vitro

Does anyone know anyone that has done in vitro after being told it would be nearly impossible to have kids.

My brother had more tests done and they said it was like a 2% chance he will ever have kids and the only shot he has is in vitro.
They are going to try it, but basically all the money they make from their wedding is going to have to go to it, it costs $20,000.

I was just wondering what the success rate is, it would suck spending that much money if theres a small chance

One of FH's best friend's is having a baby and I'm almost 100% positive it was a result of in vitro.

my friends did invitro (even though they didnt come out and say anything) and they ended up with two beautiful twin girls, and now they are pregnant again naturally!

another friends were having a huge issue TTC, and were about to go that route, when a hurricane hit, the bottle of wine opened, and six months later she is due in decemeber!

My cousin spent a TON of money and had it after being told the same thing. Her son was born retarded. He is now 10 with a mental capacity of about 5. A few years after he was born she got pregnant (surprise!). She has since has two kids, naturally, and they have turned out fine. Obviously, this is a rare case but it can happen.

My aunt had a lot of problems and it turned out to be a problem with her blood chemistry.

i know a couple who has done it four times with no luck its just so said because they really deserve a child.

but i also know a couple who did have IVF and they have twins! i think if its what they want and it wont destroy them financially then they should go for it

dont know sucess rates just prayers for your bro and sis. It sux how you spend your whole adult life trying not to get pregnant and that when you try to you cant

I know someone who did invitro had triplets and 6 months later they had a natural pregnancy!!!!

FH's sister had trouble concieving her first two kids. She didn't use invitro but just got pregnant with twins 6 months after her having her second kid.

My cousin had to freeze her eggs because they told her she probably couldn't have kids. She got pregnant on her wedding night!

but they shouldnt give up

my gf just did her 2nd round of invitro. thank God round 2 was sucessful.
there is always hope, more and more people have to rely on this method in order to concieve, i am grateful we all have this option should we ever need it.

yes a previous co worker of mine and her husband couldnt have kids for a while, did in vitro, then got pregnant w/twins! a boy and a girl!
now they have their family!

I used to babysit for someone that has invitro bc they were told they cant have kids any other way. They were lucky and got preg on the first try.
dont give up! its a lot of money but i think the success rate is good.
