Inappropriate songs for weddings

Inappropriate songs for weddings

Let's have a little fun.

What are some songs that would not be appropriate for a wedding? I heard one the other day on the radio and thought, oh how terrible this would be at a wedding!

Some from me:

Guns n Roses - I used to love her (but I had to kill her)

Allman Bros - Tied to the whipping post

I had others but can't remember them now!

OMG, I have to ask my FH again...I could swear he told me he knew someone who walked into the Guns n Roses song or danced to it. Maybe I'm wrong, but I distinctly remember talking about this song with him and laughing.

I Will Survive...I never understood why this is such a popular song for weddings.

WOW.

My friend told me that she went to a wedding once where the 1st dance song was 'Better Man' by Pearl Jam. On the surface, it sounds like a good choice - but I believe it's about a woman who is abused or maybe just 'settling' on a not-so-good guy because she doesn't think she can do any better. NOT a song I'd want for my wedding song!

Oh here's a good one. I know someone who was planning to dance their first dance to 'Because of You' by Kelly Clarkson.

I don't really know because we didn't end up going to the wedding. When someone first told me, I hadn't really listened to the song. But, when I finally did REALLY listen to the words, I was ***?

Oh my god...They played that Guns n Roses song live at my shower and I couldn't get over their song selection for such a party. The best is my 4 year niece knew the words to it, because my brother sings it about about SIL at home....nice, right?
