Re: inauguration

same here. everyone was trying to get on. a few places with tvs had it open to all. my friend tried to go down this morning - had a great spot in front of washington monument @ 5am...then her fingers and legs went totally numb...they wound up leaving to go back to hotel at 9am :(

i am glad i am in a warm place to watch it...although it would be amazing to be there live!!!

First I was overwhelmed by how amazing this day must be for him with how many people came out to see him get sworn in... then I felt SOOO bad for him when he messed up the oath lol. They should really provide the words in shorter spurts, that's a lot to remember! He recovered nicely with his speech, lol.

Mine too. They projected it in the library and student commons area.

His speech was so good. He messed up being sworn in but in a good way. It just made him look human

Well they just said that the Chief Justice actually switched some words around in the oath so it threw him (he probably had it all memorized and then he changed it and made it harder to remember). Apparently Obama as a senator challenged the Chief Justice's appointment to the Supreme Ct... so maybe he was having fun lol. But yea he did do great and he wasn't even at fault for slipping up.
