Has anyone lost someone that they are still incorporating into their wedding some how?
I lost one of my best friends this past April and I want to honor her in some way since she was such a big part of my life. She past on April 29th and our wedding is April 27th so it will be very close to her one year.
Thanks in advance, Kat

Re: Incorporating a lost loved one
Both of hubby's parents passed away ... We had lace trimmed memorial candles with their names on them prominantly displayed and discussed during our mass. They were also lit and on display during our reception in the main ballroom so they were with us.
We also incorporated a piece of his mother's wedding dress into my garter, a button, in the center of one of the rosebuds. It was beautiful. A piece of my mother's dress was also included even though thankfully she is still with us.
For future hubby he wore a small framed picture of them with a blue ribbon over his heard on the inside of his jacket. The ribbon was actually the same that was pinned on him when he was born!
And of course they were written about in the programs!

Re: Incorporating a lost loved one
I have a friend who had a 'memory tree' all branches with the pictures of lost loved ones hanging - and depending on how many people you have (which I truly hope isn't many) it's a cute idea.
