Incorporating friends/relatives in ceremony

If anyone is incorporating friends or family members into the ceremony, can you post what they are doing? I want to give 3 or 4 close friends something to do, and so far I`ve only thought of handing out programs and lighting candles on the altar. Also, stupid question, but are you also inviting these people to the rehearsal dinner? PS - It`s a protestant ceremony - Any ideas would be appreciated!

Incorporating friends/relatives in ceremony

We are having friends do some of the readings, and they are bringing up the gifts and yes we are inviting them to the rehearsal dinner. If you need any more help let me know.

Incorporating friends/relatives in ceremony

If anyone has a special talent(singer, musician, poet, ect) you could ask them to contribute.I'm not sure if you would have the need, but someone could carry a candle to the alter in memory of a loved one. Of course you could have someone do a reading, or have a guestbook at the church and they could be in charge(they could welcome people to the ceremony, and encourage them to sign the guest book).Hope this is helpful! Continued success to all...

Incorporating friends/relatives in ceremony

My brother had his wedding this weekend, and since he didn`t have a bridal party (only best man and MOH), he had me do a reading (I wanted a part somewhere!). The bride also had friends and family seated in the aisle seats, and as she walked up the aisle, they handed her individual flowers. She then stopped at her mom`s seat and tied them all together to make her bouquet! It was very nice!
