Ok i wrote about this part in my Marina del rey review but ill write it out for whoever didnt see it. The groom plays the drums and at the wedding they had the whole percussion set up the one with the cymbals and all that...The groom played the drums to the song 'shook me all night long' by AC/DC...everyone at the wedding got out of their seats and crowded around him on the middle of the dance floor. His friends were going crazy jumping up and down singing and everyone was cheering. He did a great job too, and i thought it was such a nice personal touch.
Is anyone doing anything like that? I dont know what to do lol, bring in a pitcher to throw the ball at FH so he can hit it but seriously would like to hear if anyone is doing anything similar

Well, FH is a great dancer and he will have a special greek song and dance 'zebeikiko' (sp?) the drunken sailors dance..usually the crowd goes WOW for him..so im lookin fwd for that. :)
yeah that will go over big at a greek wedding, well half your guests will end up doing it, it will be great. My dad is also good at the drunken dance so i might ask him to do it

ironically I have a similar situation...however it is for a mystery entrance by the GM which we will not know until two weeks before....
I was told if I kept asking, it would be worse...LOL

FH and I love 'real' (pretentious huh) NY hip hop and live music so a lot of the song's we're using for like the first dance, announcement etc. are hip hop....but tastefully done for the context of a wedding. For the live music we're having a jazz trio for the ceremony music. FH and I are changing into Chuck Taylors during the reception (Him tan, me baby blue) ...trying to figure out if I should do it before or after the whole garter business.
I have one secret thing i'm still debating on doing as a secret for FH....well see

Yea we are doing a 'sirto' dance...its a greek dance.....
where the groom is on one knee for the bride...and then everyone dances with the couple....in a circle.....and the men usually do crazy moves..so he will shine there....lol

We're doing some personal things, I'll probably add more as time goes on since I still have to decide on alot of things. Most of the 'US' in our wedding has to do with the music we're selecting for all of the 'event songs' (garter, entrance, etc).
We are also using photos of our birds for table numbers, I'm going to make a photo guest book, really regular type stuff. I did suggest to FH since I'm a big movie buff that instead of just using normal pics of our birds that we photoshop each of them into a different movie poster and rename the movie to some bird related pun....kinda like porn movies do ...but he nixed it and said it was waaay too much work to have to worry about. Oh well.

they dont always do it but i love when they put the first in the middle and they dance around it and kneel in front of it

for my sisters- she was dancing tsifteteli (belly dance) and the band singer came put her on a chair and some guys were holding it up and she was siting on it and sawyin her arms and body everyone went nuts lol it was very different i like it she looks amazing lol the next day she didn't remember a thing!

LOL he can be quite a character...its funny bc at clubs he hates being in themiddle of the dance floor and will dance but wont get crazy, at weddings and other functions he goes NUTS!!!!! i said for our wedding he'll be dancing on the tables stripping
