Incredible Vendor Rave!
Hi Ladies,
One of the things that has not been a fun process for me was invitations. BUT, I found a vendor on here and it was the most amazing easy experience I've had throughout our whole planning process. Cathy from An Invitation Sensation went above and beyond.
A little background, I have a degree in graphic design and really wanted to design my own invitations but couldn't get caught up in the layering and the ribbon, etc. I reached out to a few different vendors and had them recreate it. I know everyone on here loves Tessa but the invites I got for $100 more blew hers away. After the third vendor we tried they didn't look how FH and I wanted them to, we began to get discouraged so I met with Cathy. I found a gorgeous simple invite that I loved. I had seen it before from a different place and they were trying to charge me more then what Cathy had quoted me. I brought a sample of this simple invitation home and FH didn't love it, he was upset that it didn't look like the one I designed... Oh boy, I was worried because this was about three weeks ago and our invites need to go out soon... So, I emailed Cathy and here's where her magic begins:
First great thing was that she opened on a Sunday to meet me and another client. She usually doesn't have Sunday hours.
So, I email her that FH really isn't in love with the one I brought home and would really like the design that I created to be on the invite. She reaches out to the vendor to ask if its even possible (Im thinking its gonna cost an arm and leg, which we clearly do NOT have) and she gets back to me saying that they will charge an additional $35 to add my design to all of them!!! There are 100 invites, raised ink, gorgeous quality paper, double layered, and satin ribbon.
If I emailed Cathy at 11pm she'd write me back then or I'd wake to an email at 7-8am. I didn't have to worry about a thing! She stayed on top of the invitation vendor. I made edits after seeing the digital proof and she had them make those changes in a day, and on a Saturday because she knew they'd have someone in the art department working on proofs. I only had to meet with her once but she was a delight and very willing to come in to meet with me on a Sunday again if need be.
I am super picky, especially from having a design background. But they came out PERFECT! Cathy usually has them shipped to her so she can check them first but because this process took me so long and we were clearly running out of time, she had them shipped directly to me. FH was home when they were delivered and opened the box and was in awe of how beautiful they were. (We ordered them Monday and they came Thursday, which Cathy told me they were busy too because they also do holiday cards and such.)I checked them all last night and they were packaged perfectly. They gave us three extras, which was nice. There was a Thank You note in there to FH and I from the IT dept for using them and a pretty watercolor picture with a Voltare Love Quote on it that you can frame, which was sweet.
Cathy from An Inviation Sensation was such a sweetheart and really took care of us and kept my worried little behind calm!
Feel free to FM and I'll give you more info if you like.
