Anyone been to India or Southeast Asia for their honeymoon? That's where I would like to go, but we'll see....

If your going to India I'd suggest that you go to Bangalore and stay at The Leela Palace. Bangalore is a great city(I just visited for the first time in January) and that hotel is absolutely amazing...The hotel/ rooms are gorgeous, the food is the best I've ever had and you can not ask for better service!!

How did you go about arranging the trip? Did you go through a travel agent or did you do all the planning yourself? (bought the tickets, reserved hotel online?)

We are going to india in January. We are staying at the oberoi resorts in ramthabore, udapur, and jaipur and at the taj hotel in dehli. I don't think goa's beaches are supposed to be that great, so we are skipping that. Dubai (which is not in india) is supposed to be great, but it is also very dangerous.

I just noticed that you are getting married in May. The peak time to go to india is in november to february.

I definitely plan on going to dubai. My FH parents went there a little while ago during the shopping extravaganza they were having.
I kind of hope my FMIL got me something!!
ETS - I plan on going there sometime soon. Probably not during the HM period.

The wedding date that I have isn't an exact date just yet..but a date I would like...
I have to wait and see what my rotations schedule will be like fourth year and the date of my graduation before I can make any real wedding arrangements. But thanks for the info on the peak dates. I didn't know that
