Inexpensive Bands

Re: Inexpensive Bands

Most Bands I called were between $5K-$6K
The Projeckt
Niteflight
Soul Revival
Good Clean Fun
Times Square Orch.

You may want to try to cut the # of people in the band for a lower price. These bands are between 7-9 members.

Sort of along the same topic, anyone heard the Boston Burglars play at a wedding?

HI Kara,

Yes I've heard the boston Burglars at a wedding... and the leader of my band (Good Clean Fun) was taught the guitar as a little kid by the guy from the Boston Burglars. they're a good band... but really specialize in the Irish, Irish-American scene.

YES...you CAN get a band for under $3K. Most of the bands that the girls on this site use are your BIG wedding bands... i.e. they have at least 8 members.... trumpet players, several vocalists, bongo drums etc. in my opinion, if you dont' want something that huge you can defintiely get something for less. it also depends on what you want the music to be like and mean to you on your wedding day.

For me, the music is the most important part of the reception. i wanted the Irish music i grew up with (my parents are from Ireland) to be a part of my wedding. i knew i had to go with an Irish band. Also, growing up all the music was done by bands at a pub or ceili bands or by Uncle whoever jamming out with the guitaor or fiddle in the living room!!!! so basically, i wanted to keep it good---but simple. . . just guys with good voices, a guitar and some keyboard and drums...that's all we needed... and for bands like that you can definitely find someone affordable.

I know I'm babbling, but basically I want to say that you can find someone to play for you for a decent price. i am paying $2300.00 for 6 pieces for 5 hours. FM me and I can give you some suggestions as to where you can start looking.

GOOD LUCK!

Headoverheelsband.com

is costing me $5,000 for a 5 piece band (great for me b/c my room is tight), Including ceremony music and a piano sax cocktail hour.

Re: Inexpensive Bands

I don't know what they go for now but I have a good idea so I'm replying, but Niteflight books themselves independently-not with an agency so they are less expensive than some.

They are 9 pcs and fabulous but you could probably ask them for less pieces to save some moolah!

Worth a look..oh and they play some clubs sometimes so you can go see them live in a party type atmosphere with people up and dancing.

DH and I go to see them a few times a year.

This was by far the hardest decision..even more so than the RH!
