Inexpensive Bands

Inexpensive Bands

All right, ladies, I know that inexpensive, yet still REALLY good wedding bands exist. I'm still waiting to hear back from my brothers who booked GREAT bands for under $2500 for each of their weddings. (Can't remember the names for the life of me!)

Can anyone recommend some bands that won't break the bank?

I would really prefer not to spend $6k + on a band, but a DJ isn't an option for me.

Suggestions, please?!

Agreed. So sorry-- but out of all the bands I priced the cheapest I found (which was off-season pricing) was $4,500.

Try to see if you can scrimp elsewhere to be able to get the band you want? It's such an important part of the reception (music that is). But I like DJ's too-- There are some GREAT ones out there. Just trying to keep your options opened.

My band is Heart & Soul and they are $6,400 for our day

I was asking about bands under $6k. (My brothers got really lucky, but I doubt I'll get that lucky). Surely there are bands out there for around $5k or under...?

We can afford it, but honestly we're not going for broke on this wedding. There are just far more important things we'd rather save our money for...

A DJ is not an option for me.

I also saw alot of bands and that is a very difficult price range. Maybe you can save by going with a 5 piece band. The best bands out there were all $6,000 to $15,000. The higher priced bands were no better than the lower priced bands. Just be careful of bands that don't do weddings full time. Playing a wedding is a whole different ballgame than playing at a bar or club.

We are having a band that isn't a true wedding band. We've seen them play at weddings and they are awesome. A lot of our friends have used bands that don't solely do weddings and they have been wonderful (better than some of the wedding bands some of our friends have chosen - none of the ones that are popular here).

DUH DANIELLE LOL

I did not read the post carefully enough-- I saw the $2500 figure and was like uh oh

But for bands under 6? umm well heart and soul was just 400 dollars more than that-- not too bad and I have heard that code bleu is supposed to be reasonable!!! good luck!

I priced out some bands.

Peat Moss and the Fertilizers was $5K came with a DJ
The Touch was $5,500
Elite was $5K and it also came with a DJ
Code Bleu was $5800
Body Heat $6950

and I can't remember the other ones. Be advised that none of these prices included CH music.

Wow, thank you!

I don't want/need band music for the CH. Thanks so much. This is helpful!

The band I booked ended up being my favorite AND the cheapest! We got Peter Greco, 8 piece band- $4900
If you would do 6 or 7 pieces instead, you'll even get a better price?

theyre located in Great neck. Check them out, its definatly worth it!
