Inexpensive Rehersal-Suffolk
Hi, our church is in Ronkonkoma and we are looking for an inexpensive place to have the rehersal dinner. We are thinking of having it at my FMIL house with hero's and a few hot dishes. I just wanted to know if anyone knows of places in suffolk that might be cheaper/ easire than a house dinner. Thanks Dawn

Re: Inexpensive Rehersal-Suffolk
How much is inexpensive? I have looked at some places (not many, I'm still to early) and the prices ranged. I blocked hotels last week at the Raddison at exit 63. They do a RD and she said she can work with any budget from $13-$30 per person. Not sure how much you want to spend.

Not sure if this is cheaper than hero but mine is going to be at La Familglia in Smithtown. It is family style so you order a bunch of foods, not individual dishes. THe food is great. I wanted a casual RD so this is perfect.

michele - if you don't mind me asking, what are they charging you per person? I looked at a similar place in Hunt and it was $45- 50 per!!

Marios in Setauket on 25A is pretty cheap - It is under $20pp for a rehersal dinner there. I don't think that includes alcohol though.

Re: Inexpensive Rehersal-Suffolk
We are paying about $26 per person at Mario's for our RD for a separate room, with unlimited beer, wine, and soda. This was an add on and we picked not the lowest meal package but the second lowest which came with a ton of food. The unlimited beer, wine, and soda was an extra $6 (I think) per person. AND, the food is very, very good. I can't give you exact details & prices since I am at work and have the menu at home if you want, forum e-mail me if you want to know more!

We had our RD at the Bavarian Inn on Lake Ronkonkoma. It was about $27 pp with beer and wine included -- also dessert.

I am having my Rehearsal dinner at Crystal Buffet restaurant in Ronkonkama. It is chinese buffet. They have parties and it is pretty inexpensive. We thought it would be a good idea since we are eating all italian food for the wedding.

Re: Inexpensive Rehersal-Suffolk
I am not paying a per person charge, but instead they tell you how many dishes/entrees you need to cover the amount of people you have. I think for our 35 guests it will come to around $450-$500. That does not include dessert or alchol though. We are going to have an open bar and pay the tab at the end of the night. I am bringing in a cake.

Re: Inexpensive Rehersal-Suffolk
We are having our rehersal at Pomodorino. They are giving us a seperate room, and the cost per person is $21. That includes app, choice of 3 entrees, soda, coffee, tea and cannoli for desert. You can add on beer and wine for $8 per person, but our rehersal is the night before the wedding, and we don't want everyone drinking too much. It was exactly what we were looking for, so you might want to try there.

We are having ours in Hauppauge. There they have a prive room downstairs, but we are having it in the encolsed porch. There is also one in Lake Grove which I think is probably closer to you.Pomodorino
