anyone know of any great places for a wedding on the water, either a hall or fantastic retaurant for about 140 people?

Chateau La Mer River Club Captain Bill's Bayview House
I looked at all three- thought they were all nice but loved Chateau La Mer so we went with that.

The Riviera at Massapeaqua has very reasonable prices and it's located on the Great South Bay.

FYI - I don't think the Snapper Inn could accomodate that many people. You might want to call and check.

I was just there last night for my FSIL and FBIL's wedding, and I believe they had atleast 150 people. IMO, it seemed a bit too small and too congested.

bridgeview yacht club has two different sites that overlook the inlet....much less than a beach site....awesome view and food..i just got married there and LOVED all of the service. Everyone raved about it!
