info about CLM renovations

I got in touch with CLM and this is what they said regarding the renovations: They are only redecorating with new carpeting, new dance floors and a paint job -- nothing 'too structural'. (I only asked about the Atrium room). They assured me that they will have everything completed by my wedding date in September.
Also, they are still using Black Forest bakery -- it was just a rumor that they went with someone else.
By the way, the Atrium room's dance floor is 25' by 26' in case you want to choreograph something.

Hey, fellow CLM gals!!!! Deb and Fred are there at CLM, as we speak, to finalize stuff. I told Deb to peak in on Jennifer, if they are closeby, and GET A PICTURE!!!!! Course, Deb left her camera here in Pa., so she couldn't take pics of her sample centerpieces at April Flowers, and she can't bring it home, since she's returning by train; Fred is staying for business, in NY. you can pick? I've always loved Campbells but I figured we'd go with Black Forest (which I also like) just because it's included.

I don't think it takes more than a few days for professional carpet layers and painters to finish the job. And it's all new stuff!!! Woo hoo, it's going to look great. I hope the chairs look just as good. :)

yup Nick told me i can go with either one

my cake was from campbells and it is still included..they use two because its jsut better business..what if something happens and they cant get the cake from one..then your out of a cake..

the campbells cake i had was so fantastic..nick said it was one of his avorite cakes he has ever seen..they really pulled through and gave me EXACTLY what i wanted..plus it was SOOO GOOD

i grew up getting things from black forest and my cake was WAY better

I would love to see pictures of all the new stuff. I hope they are getting new table linens.

yes the atrium is the downstairs room

i love the chairs there..i mean updating is always good..but i think they are so nice too

the carpet..its interesting..is kidn of the same design..just new..lol..and a little more black is in it...i saw it when i was there for my own wedding

Also, has anyone ever tried to cover up the black and gold design that decorates the doorway by the bar? (I know I am being nit-picky). I'm not a big fan. Do you know if the bride and groom enter through that doorway?

that was the one thing FH didn't like about the place! but Lou assured us that the dance floor is treated on a regular basis -- they just take a beating from all the dancing. I guess they can't put too much wax on them or people would bust their behinds.

I told FH not to worry -- I'm sure I won't even notice them that day.

yea i agree..i dont think i will even notice the day of because first of all its going to be dark by the time we are all in that room anyways!!
