Info on Tommy Tunes

Can anyone please give me information about Tommy Tunes. How do you think their prices compare to other DJS. I saw them at the bridal showcase at East Wind. Their price just for a DJ and MC for four hours is $1750. I thought that seemed a little high. Also I wanted 2 violinists (sp?) it is $595 each violinist and I only need them for two hours.

I felt they were much more over priced then other djs we look at.And some of the other djs were just as good look around first. That was one thing i considered very important to me.

DJ and MC with Get In Tune for 5 hours including ceremony is $1295 for me. Good luck.

I used them and thought they were great...BUT I do agree that they were more expensive than most DJ's out there.

I think I called them to make an appt, but then cancelled when I found out that you don't know who your actual DJ is until like a month before your wedding-I wanted to know from when I booked. i know a lot of places are like that, but i was determined to find one that wasn't!

edited to say that i have heard good things about them!

Right now I'm trying to decide whether to go DJ or Band. If it's DJ, I'm going to use them. They are excellent and worth the money.

I was told by several people that I should not go with them. I ended up with High Energy, they were great!

I'm in the same boat as you. I saw them at the Villa Lombardi showcase and thought they were great but they are definitely more expensive than the rest. I keep hearing that Get in Tune is just as good and more reasonably priced. I haven't made my decision yet. I guess I'm going to see both of them.

I am using Tommy's Tunes and I think that the price was a little high, but when I compared them to other DJs, I thought that you get alot more for the price and I honestly didn't see much of a price difference. They have done a few of my cousins' weddings and they were unbelieveable! They are well worth it! Also, I requested the MC and they put it on my contract. I also met the dj. I would suggest looking around and comparing, it is the best way to find what you want! Good Luck!

they are definitely more expensive, and when i questioned them about what they do if a backup is needed they really didn't have a satisfactory answer. overall i felt very pressured while i was in there, but i've never seen them at a party so.....

I recently met with Frank from Tommy Tunes. My Fiance and I were pretty impressed with Frank. I heard them at a wedding I went to a few years ago (Tommy was the MC). I'm going to another wedding in December and they are also using Tommy Tunes. I haven't looked into too many DJs so I dont know if they are overpriced. I did go see Energy Entertainment out in Plainview today. Their pricing is cheaper than Tommy Tunes if you dont use the owners for an MC. It's around $400 more if you want to use one of the owners. I thought that was a little odd. Has anyone used Mark or William from Energy Entertainment? Frank from Tommy Tunes? Thanks!

I thought they were overpriced and I didn't like how you were not guaranteed to get the MC you chose and that multiple brides could chose the smae MC, that makes no sense! Also I didn't care for their style, electric blue tuxedo shirts??

Re: Info on Tommy Tunes

They didn't wear Electric Blue tuxedo shirts at my wedding...I would have died. My MC was Joe E and he was professional and they played exactly the type of music I was looking for. My dance floor was packed all night and even my grandmother was dancing. I didn't even think Joe said much. He didn't have to... Where did you see that?

My friend recommended them to us because she went to a wedding and liked them but when I checked with a friend (who is actually a DJ) he suggested that we not use them. I don't think they let you know who your DJ will be until about a month beforehand -

Re: Info on Tommy Tunes

We just went to a wedding wher they were the DJ's and I found them to be really annoying. The MC was constantly jumping around, and he was alwyas talking on the mic, which I felt was annoying, but there were alot of people dancing, I just don't like people like that though.

Also the MC was wearing a bright blue shirt with a vest over it, and I swear his pants were too short. THen before the wedding even ended, I guess they were packing up their stuff and I looked over and there was a guy in t-shirt and jeans standing behind the speaker, and the DJ was not wearing what he had started off wearing in the beginning of the wedding. I thought this was quite unprofessional.
