Has anyone blocked rooms here? I spoke to a rep from the Inn at Great Neck last night (at the Inn at NHP) and he said they have a shuttle and can accommodate a brunch the next day. I've already blocked at the GCH, but it is kind of expensive and we have to provide our own shuttle service. No one has booked yet, so I am wondering if I should set up another block here. Any thoughts or advice? TIA!!

If the prices are better then I would definitely switch to the Inn. I was looking at it as well but we aren't going to have too many OOT guests.
I was at the NHP Inn last night too. They did a really nice job at the showcase!

I have a feeling the price is the same as the GCH, but would be grateful for that info if anyone has it!
I was at the last showcase at the Inn, which I thought was a LOT more crowded. It was nice last night - they always do a great job!!

My sister had her room block at the Inn at Great Neck. I can't remember much about the shuttle, but they had a very nice brunch the day after.

Actually, I was hoping that you could tell me about the shuttle! I had no idea there even was one. Now I will have to call and ask. I will get back to you on that, but I think that these rates must be significantly less than GCH because I am staying there for our wedding night and the rooms generally go for about $253 if you book on Orbitz and more if you book directly with the hotel. I would change the block if no one has booked yet.

I got the info!! The rates are a little different than what you had written (a little more, but not by much). Re: the shuttle - it is 4 hours of service, 2 hours back and forth from the hotel to the RH before the wedding and 2 hours from the RH back to the hotel at the end. It's a 14 passenger shuttle that will do as many trips as possible during that time. It costs 450$ - is that a lot?
Our GCH block is actually less than what the Inn at GN quoted us, so I think we will probably stick with it. Just wanted to share!
