I believe you would address that the way you usually address the person. Wouldn't it feel weird writing 'Mary' instead of 'Grandma'?

Thank you so much! I will call her!

When I helped my sister with her invitations we used their first names on the inner envelope.
No first names on the inner.

I plan to use Mr. & Mrs. on the inner if it's people I don't know well like our parents' friends - and also for people whom I call Mr. & Mrs. - my bosses and my friend's parents.

For friends and relatives I'm using first names. 'Aunt Brenda' or 'Angela and Tom'.

I just did these so its a great time to ask:

If the outer envelope says Mr and Mrs paul Smith the inner envelope says Mr and Mrs Smith
No first names on the inner.

theknot.com shows either way to be correct - either 'Mr & Mrs. Smith' or 'Bob and Sally' but I think your guests are probably not buzzing about your faux pas. I hope not....otherwise my guests are buzzing about how I didn't even address the inner envelopes. It was just stressing me too much at the moment and my printer was misbehaving. People did say how pretty the font looked on the outer envelope though.

Don't let this stuff get your crazy, brides, it's all good stuff.

It's so exciting when the invites go out. I felt like that also, It's sure a biggie to check off too. It's a lot of fun checking the mail and seeing which ones came back that day. We have received some every single day since they started coming back, my fiance had been so into it. Saturday is our 'respond by' date. I have to say I have been very pleased with the yes's and not too disappointed by the no's. Now I am starting to envision the seating arrangements. Enjoy!

Fi wanted to know what the little tissue was all about - said it looked like a square of toilet paper! If his friends think like he does, I don't think I need to worry about how I put the names.
