Inner Envelopes?

Is everyone using inner envelopes? I understand the purpose of them but just am not sure that they are necessary.

Inner Envelopes?

I think I am. I have heard horror stories about invitations being damaged through the mail so I am nervous. Most of my invites are being sent out of state so they have quite a distance to go. They have inexpensive lined envelopes from LCI paper that I will purchase.

Inner Envelopes?

I used them and think they are a nice touch. We had some invites returned to us do to address changes and they were not in great shape. We had them hand canceled too so I was surprised.

Inner Envelopes?

No, I didn't but I also didn't want too splurge whatsoever on invites, other than allowing them to address the outer envelopes. I went the cheapest route possible, without looking cheesy...

Inner Envelopes?

We did inner pouches but did not address them. We didn't think it was worth the money since our addresses on the outter envelope were very straightforward and there were not any that required clarification as to exactly who was invited.

Inner Envelopes?

I am only addressing the inner envelopes for my single friends that I am allowing to bring a guest (i.e. Ms. Smith and Guest) That way they will know that they can bring someone.

Inner Envelopes?

I used a piece of vellum paper instead of an inner envelope (we had pocketfolds) I used the first and last name on our inner 'envelope' to specify who exactly was invited. I've received invitations with inner envelopes before... they weren't sealed.

Inner Envelopes?

So for the people who didn't address the inner envelopes, how did you let your single guests knwo they were able to bring a guest? On the response card?

Re: Inner Envelopes?

we wrote 'and guest' on the actual envelope.. i know per etiquette rules you aren't supposed to do that, but i decided to not follow that rule, lol.
