Inner & Outer Envelopes

Inner & Outer Envelopes

Ok I posted earlier, but only 1 person responded. Is it necessary to have an inner and outer envelope? My invitations just came in and I assumed they would have two invitations but the store told me b/c the invite is a little larger that I should just use the outer envelope.

I read some past posts and some people mentioned their invitations got ruined in the mail with only 1 envelope. What do you guys think? Should I see if the store can order the extra envelopes?

I think 2 is more formal and you can weed out people you don't want to come.

i liked having both an inner and an outter envlope becuase through the mail (especially for OOT guests) the outter envelope was marred. I also liked 2 envelopes so that I could specify exactly who was invited on the inner envelope. It was also more personalized. I would ask if you were entitled to them. If so, I would ask for them.

Mine had 2 an outer & & inner but my friend who got married in April only had 1 & nothing was wrong with her invite & it came from Fl. I wouldn't worry about too much but if it something that you want then ask how much it would be...it if is alot money I would say forget it becuase there are other things you might want that are more important.

I don't think that you HAVE to have both- I like that mine does but it really doens't matter. I didn't know that there was writting on both envelopes! one more thing to do!
