Input from 07 brides- morning of

Hi 07ers, I am an 08er hoping you might have advice on this subject for me based on what you are doing or what youve seen. I have a large bridal party and think if everyone is at my house with me getting ready, I might be overwhelmed and it might get chaotic. Is anyone having their BMs get ready at home or at a hotel and what about hair/makeup - can they get theirs done separately or should they be getting theirs done with me??

I would have them done separately. I have a small bridal party and told them I don't want them at my house, in a nice way of course. They are getting ready at their house and meeting us at the ceremony. There is too much going on that day I didn't want to watch them getting ready and I didn't want anyone but my family to see me before I walk down the aisle.

I am having my bridal party done seperately and they will meet me at the RH (where we will start pics) at 9:30 am....I think it will be too hectic for everyone to get ready at my house..HTH

Thanks guys- happy to see Im not the only one thinking along these lines! My church is right around the block from my house, so maybe I will have them all get ready and then come over right before we head to the church.

I had mine come over about 20 min before the photographer was supposed to get there. I got ready with my mom and MOH and that was it... the girls came to help me put on my dress (thank God, cuz I needed it), but no one got ready with me except my mom and sister

i had my whole bridal party get ready whereever they wanted and come at 12:00 at my place (photographer got there at 1230) it was just perfect no stress no chaos

I will be at my Mom's house getting ready and the only ones that will be with me are my MOH (sister) a BM (sister) and the Jr. BM and the FG (nieces) The others will meet at the house all ready to go for pictures.

Ahh I feel so much better now seeing these responses. So far Ive been to a couple of destination weddings where its pretty much forced to do it altogether and one other wedding where we all got our hair done together (with the bride) and got dressed together too. Glad to see its acceptable to just have fam getting ready together and then the rest of the party come over in time for pics. For my out of towner maids, I will make appts for them somewhere I know near the hotel so they dont have to figure it out themselves. Yay! Thanks :)

My BMs got ready separately. I told them I wanted their hair up and make up done. They could choose where they got it done. It really did make my morning wonderful. When Mia got to my house, no one was there except for me and my brother. It was so relaxing. Eventually, my sisters and mom came home from the salon and things were a bit more hectic. It was nice to have some time to myself.

All my bm's got ready at home on their own (except for one who stayed over with me the night before), and then just brought their dresses over to my house to put them on. They got their hair & makeup done close to where they live. They got to my house about an hour before we left for the ceremony. It worked out fine.

I gave out a schedule to all of my girls at the rehersal dinner. I told them when to arrive at their hair appoitments and then when to arrive at my house to get there makeup done. Everything worked out perfectly. They all showed up on time and it was not crazy at all. It was actually calmer than it has ever been at my parents house.

I had - Me, Mom, 7 BM's and Flower Girl

We all got ready in the Hotel room. I am telling you, when you hire good Makeup and Hair vendors, you have nothing to worry about. I used Oksana for Makeup and Jenn the Hair Genie and they were nothing, but PERFECT. They had an assembly line and moved everything quick and organized. Nothing was chaotic and love them for that

After hair and makeup, the girls got dressed in another Hotel room and I got dressed in mine.

They are meeting me at the hotel I am getting ready at. I told them to be showered and have their hair done. They will actually be going to another room to have their MU done. I didn't want everyone around me either making me crazy. As it is all of our OOT people will be staying at the hotel so I know I'm going to have visitors all morning!

I have the BM 7 of them coming at 12:30. I have all their dresses at my house and the photogrpher is coming at 1:00. We are leaving at 3:10 for the church. I hope to be all done by the time they get there. Stressfree, realxing in the morning with a cup of coffee and reading the newspaper, might even watch Regis and Kelly in the morning. ha ha

My BMs will be getting their makeup done at my parent's house but not the hair. My mom was freakin' out envisioning hairspray being sprayed all over her furniture.

I had my BMs show up at my house a little before it was time to leave because it definitely can get hectic and it's nice to have that quiet time beforehand.
