inside envelope of invitations

Did you girls write anything on these? I have heard 2 different things

1. That on the outside envelope you just write Ms. Mary Smith and her address and on the inside envelope you would write Mary Smith and Guest

2. That on the outside envelope you write Ms. Mary Smith and Guest and her address and you leave the inside envelope blank.

How did you girls address the 'and gust' issue??

PS: Not everyone is invited 'and guest' so I need to specify if they are or not

My outer envelopes read as follows, 'Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Smith' and then the inner for them would say 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith.'

For my 'and guest' people, I addressed the outer as 'Mr. Joseph Smith' and the inner as 'Mr. Smith and Guest.'

I did have a few that aren't invited w/ a guest and on their inners I just wrote 'Mr. Smith' and thats all.

VERY HELPFUL... I am not doing and inner envelope since i am doing pocketfolds and was wondering how to address the 'guest & partner' issue.

Our outer envelopes say:

Mr. Jones
123 Sesame Street
Sesame Place, NY


Inside envelope says

Mr. Jones and guest
