I have one. My sister's husband suggested FH and I go to the justice of the peace and take a trip to Vegas instead of having a wedding. He didn't feel that way when they got married!

When my dad found out how much the RH and photographer cost he said 'I think you should just cancel everything and we'll go out to dinner as a family for your wedding' he was half joking but he was definitely disgusted with the price of todays weddings......sorry that I wasn't born in the 1950's daddy

I asked my dad if he was going to help pay for the wedding and he gave me a check for $1000 and thought that should cover it.. when i told him how much everything cost he yelled for hours and called me stupid .....

Uh...

I wasn't aware that butternut squash ravioli, eggplant rollatini, vegetable strudel, wild rice pilaf, and vegetable stir-fry would leave people hungry.

same for me and yes, FMIL on my end. such a wonderful woman

FMIL suggested I have no alcohol at the reception....Yeah we'll see how that works out being that HER and all of her family are functional alcoholics!!!!! INCLUDING HER SON!!!!!
