I think it's a great idea! A lot of girls on this site do this, but they all get bad results... no one uploads them! Facebook is the best way to do this... I see people who post pictures of weddings they go to like the second they get home.

Crashing '09er here... we did this with shutterfly and I just printed the info on blank index cards at home a few days before the wedding on a whim. We had a few hundred photos uploaded by various people and it was great to be able to see them and share them so quickly after the wedding!
Shutterfly has it free so you can set it up with a password if you want so it's no harm, no foul if no one does it.
