maybe cutouts of leaves with names and number on them? Thanksgiving decorations should be out by that point so they definitely have cutouts available. Or if you have the time and energy... actual leaves that you laminate.

I wanted to not go the pumpkin way only cause I hate halloween hehehehehe. So I thought the apples would be great. Its just I guess I would have to go get the apples and then order the cards to go on the apples from some where.
I would prob have to do this close to the wedding because the apples would have to be fresh...
Looks like a traditional placecard but it has a 'fall appeal' to it

There are companies that will ship you the candied apples based on the date you need them. When i was planning an Oct. this is what we were going to do.
i LOVE the idea. now i want a candied apple....

AutumBride from 2006 did the candy apples...they were yummy too, my coworker went to the wedding and brought one in...it was a really cute idea!!!

I want to do some sort of fallish place card thing too. The candy apple idea is so cute, but for myself, I'm afraid it might be pricey.
I liked the fall placecard from that website above, but it seems like they only give you 7 in one pack, and they don't have many packs (it said 1 in stock).
I hope people keep posting more ideas cause I could use them myself!

I'm thinking of doing the same thing. i was going to do caramel, candy and chocolate. let me know if you find anything. I've had the delusional thought of doing it myself!!! someone slap me
if i don't do it i'm going to get our hall to have a 'tasting plate' as a dessert (to accompany the cake) with small melon ball sized candy, caramel and chocolate apples. i'm really bringing the apple and pomegranate thing in as my colors are red brown and 'latte' or cream
definitely keep in touch let me know if you find anything - i'll do the same :)
