Is there anything else I can do in its place? I know of the anniversary dance, but I cannot do that for a 'family reason'. So I wanted to get some ideas on what else I could do. Someone on this board mentioned a dance they did that had all married & engaged couples on the dance floor?? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

we're having all the married couples on the floor. the most current married couples will sit down first. the last standing couple is the one that's married the longest will get the bouquet
That's what I'm doing too.

we are having all people get up on the dance floor and the woman who catches the bo-k will dance with the groom and the guy who catches the garter will dance with me.
We really wanted to include this tradition, but we have no single people!
This is what I was going to recommend! I'm torn between doing this or giving it to my mom.

THe last wedding I went to they gave the bouquet to the couple who was married the longest. It went to a couple married for 64 years

I am thinking of having all women married or single come up and same with the garter toss. Whoever, catches them will get a gift from us. I think its more mature as I don't have many single people and it seems a lot more fun that way

Yeah Im in the same boat. Since im like the last one to get married, there will be no single people to do a Bo-k toss to. Thanks for posting the question
I have the same situation... so I opted to not do a toss.

Do you have anyone that is engaged? My cousin gave me her bouquet at her wedding and they said something along the lines of since we already know who is the next to get married we are giving this to her....or something like that. It was really sweet and cute.

Yes, I do have one friend who is engaged & scheduled to get married next year & one other friend who might be engaged by my wedding. Any suggestions on how to 'present' this???
